Pest Control Technician

As a Pest Control Technician, you represent In Touch Pest Control in customers’ homes and businesses across South Florida. Your work combines property inspections, responsible pest management, accurate service records, and respectful communication. Customers trust you around their families, pets, belongings, and access information.

• Inspect carefully Inspect assigned properties for pest activity, entry points, harborage, moisture, and conditions that support pests.
• Explain what you find Identify common pests and explain observations and prevention steps in plain language.
• Treat responsibly Perform assigned treatments and monitoring only within your training and authorization, following product labels, safety procedures, and supervisor direction.
• Prevent recurring problems Use integrated pest management: inspection, sanitation recommendations, exclusion, targeted treatments, and follow-up monitoring.
• Protect people and property Protect occupants, pets, food-contact areas, and belongings. Confirm access arrangements and communicate preparation and re-entry instructions accurately.
• Keep complete records Document findings, treatment locations, products used, photos, customer concerns, and follow-up needs in the service system.
• Manage the service day Manage your assigned route, communicate delays, and keep service equipment and the work vehicle orderly and secure.
• Escalate concerns Report safety concerns, property damage, unusual pest activity, and work outside your authorization promptly.

• Valid driver’s license A valid driver’s license and the ability to meet the company’s driving requirements for travel between customer properties.
• Safe handling and PPE Careful reading and use of product labels, safety data, application instructions, measurements, and required personal protective equipment.
• Practical problem-solving Observation, problem-solving, attention to detail, and the judgment to ask for guidance when a situation is unfamiliar.
• Professional and dependable Professional customer communication, dependable attendance, time management, and respect for customer privacy and property.
• Digital service skills Comfort using a smartphone or tablet for schedules, service notes, photos, and team communication.
• Field readiness Ability to carry out the role’s essential field duties, with or without reasonable accommodation: travel to properties, work indoors and outdoors in South Florida conditions, inspect service areas, and handle assigned equipment safely.

Tell us whether you hold a current Florida FDACS pest-control employee ID card, a certified-operator certificate, an out-of-state credential, or a previous credential. Include relevant categories, endorsements, and expiration information if known. Required identification, training, and authorizations will be verified for the work assigned.

Experience with residential or commercial pest control, pest identification, baiting and monitoring, rodent prevention or exclusion, and accurate treatment records is valuable. Termite/WDO or other specialty experience should be identified separately with the applicable credentials. If you are new to pest control, describe your transferable skills; readiness and any training needs will be reviewed before field assignment.

Because this role involves entering customer properties and driving between appointments, the hiring process includes credential verification, a driving-record review, and job-related background screening at the appropriate stage. Any required third-party screening disclosure and authorization will be handled separately. Completing this application does not authorize a background check.
